Melvin Gordon Wants a New Contract or Out of the Chargers

Chargers running back Melvin Gordon might hold out from training camp

Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon is hoping for a new contract prior to the season, and he has given the team an ultimatum. His dissatisfaction with negotiations led him and his agent, Damarius Bilbo, to address the matter publicly in an effort to either secure a better offer or force a trade.

The star running back is set to enter the final year of his contract and is now set to earn roughly $5.6 million, which would make him the 13th-highest paid running back in the National Football League for 2019. Furthermore, Gordon's agent, Fletcher Smith, says he will demand a trade if a new deal is not reached.

Chargers training camp is scheduled to open on July 24.

Gordon previously expressed concern during a mandatory June minicamp that he hadn't yet gotten a new contract completed.

Final footage of doomed climbers
The deadly avalanche took place on May 26th, but the camera was only recovered on Sunday by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police. A 15-member ITBP team of climbers clocked about 500 hours spanning more than 15 days in its recovery mission.

Gordon had 885 rushing yards on 175 carries for 10 touchdowns last season in 12 starts. "But that's not going to stop me from coming out here and doing what I need to do".

But when he was asked about not playing in 2019 if he didn't get an extension, Gordon didn't dismiss the notion.

"I don't know, man", Gordon said last month. If it's going to happen, it'll happen.

However, he was quiet in the playoffs, totaling just 69 yards from scrimmage in two games. He also added 50 catches for 490 receiving yards and another 4 touchdowns through the air.
