Harry Potter elf 'Dobby’ spotted on CCTV walking up woman’s driveway

A strange video circulating online shows an elf-like creature many are saying resembles the character Dobby from the

Last week, Facebook user Vivian Gomez of La Junta, CO posted home security footage of someone or something who looks uncannily similar to Dobby, the skittish, big-eared "house elf" of the Harry Potter series.

One Twitter user said: "The cuts in this video scream edited hoax".

Gomez was quick to dismiss the accusation as she denied making any adjustment to the video.

A mum was left terrified when CCTV outside her home seemingly captured a freakish creature resembling Harry Potter character Dobby. First I saw the shadow walking from my front door then I saw this thing.

"So I woke up Sunday morning and saw this on my camera and am trying to figure out...what the heck?? The other two cameras didn't pick it up for some reason", Gomez wrote in a viral video post that's garnered some 9.5 million views so far. A scrawny figure is seen walking oddly beside a vehicle.

The video has since generated over 65,000 retweets and 200,000 likes on Twitter.

While a fourth added: "There could be genuine alien life roaming our planet and ppl be making dobby memes I WANT ANSWERS".

What do you think of the video? "Looks like a puppet of some sort to me", one user said.

While some are convinced the creature has been photoshopped in, others are genuinely freaked out by the discovery.

In the latest viral video to make global headlines, Vivian Gomez presents what she believes could be an alien walking in her driveway.

While this video would probably make a good viral marketing campaign for the game, VGomez doesn't appear to be involved in any way with that effort. Although personally, I have never been able to resemble Dobby the elf to this degree, I was known to wear shorts on my head as a child.
