Their plans include new Star Wars TV spin-off for Disney+, including Jon Favreau's bounty hunter show The Mandalorian, and a new series starring Diego Luna as Rogue One's Cassian Andor.

Star Wars: Episode IX is due out in theaters December 20. In an interview with Bloomberg, Disney CEO Bob Iger laid out the strategy they're taking with the next phase of the space opera.

But we digress. For now, you can spend some time with the first poster for Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order up above and be sure to check back over the weekend as we'll have all the latest updates coming out of Celebration for you right here.

The panel opened with behind-the-scenes footage from the original 1977 Star Wars, with Harrison Ford brutally blowing his "navicomputer" line during a rehearsal.

Star Wars Celebration: How to Watch the 'Star Wars: Episode IX' Announcements Live

While they haven't announced any specific projects, Lucasfilm has in fact officially announced a new trilogy by The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson (in November 2017) and a new series of films written and produced by Game of Throne's creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss (in February 2018).

The world, however, expects to learn the name of Episode IX later Friday.

Kennedy also confirmed that beyond The Mandalorian and the Cassian show, there are more Star Wars shows now in development, both live action and animated-the latter of which includes the upcoming new season of the beloved Star Wars: The Clone Wars, announced back at San Diego Comic-Con past year as bringing a full conclusion to the show's saga out of previously unfinished storylines, following its cancelation when Disney purchased Lucasfilm in 2014. If there are others in development, Iger wasn't telling. Os this really the 4 words we've been waiting for the last 4-5 months? Check out the logo for the exciting new Star Wars series in the post below.
