Neil deGrasse Tyson Back With Nat Geo After Network Completes Assault Investigation

Neil deGrasse Tyson is set to return as host of his two shows - "Cosmos" and "StarTalk" - on Fox and National Geographic following the completion of an internal investigation into the sexual misconduct allegations made against him a year ago.

"The investigation is complete, and we are moving forward with both StarTalk and Cosmos", reads an official statement from NatGeo.

While the channel did not elaborate on its findings, it did announce that Tyson will be returning to host the remaining 13 episodes of StarTalk in April. Both networks later halted those plans following the controversy surrounding Tyson. Meanwhile, Nat Geo pulled its Tyson-hosted StarTalk off the air after the new allegations surfaced in November until the investigation was completed.

Late last November, National Geographic Networks and Fox said they would examine reports that Tyson behaved in a sexually inappropriate manner toward two women. The allegations were originally posted on Patheos. 21st Century Fox is the parent company of the Fox network and has a majority stake in the National Geographic Channel.

Back in December, the show's producers, which include Druyan's Cosmos Studios and MacFarlane's Fuzzy Door Productions, said in a statement they "are committed to a thorough investigation of this matter and to act accordingly as soon as it is concluded".
