Police detain 10 teenagers in India for playing banned video game

The notification said that the ban would be in force from March 14 till the midnight of March 28.

What makes the arrests more "interesting" is the fact that players were so engaged in playing PUBG that they didn't notice the police team approaching them. It's worth noting that the Police Commissioner Manoj Agrawal banned the game on March 6th in an official notification.

Ahmedabad Police Commissioner AK Singh also issued a notification on Wednesday banning both the games in the city, citing similar reasons. But there's no success without criticism and PUBG Mobile has received a fair share censure from governments as well as people to an extent where the popular battle-royale game has been banned in several cities.

The ban was announced last week by local authorities to combat what they called the spread of "violent traits" in kids playing PUBG and "Momo challenge", a so-called suicide game.

Teddy Bridgewater meeting with Dolphins, report says
If Brees never plays for the Saints again after the 2019 season, he will leave a salary cap hit of $21.3 million in dead money. The quarterback was in Miami visiting with the Dolphins on Wednesday, according to a report from the Boston Globe.

The police seized the mobile phones of the individuals for "the goal of investigation" and it has charged the arrested individuals under the Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code for violating the notification issued by Police Commissioner and Section 35 for playing PUBG despite ban Gujarat Police Act.

"Our team caught these youths red-handed". This is for the first time that people are being detained for playing a harmless game.

Of the 10 arrested, six are already out on bail. The arrests were made after police checked the phones of the accused to see if the PUBG game was running and the cops also checked the history to nab the violators. Cops, education and research institutes were exempted from this ban order. With concerns regarding the game's promotion of violence alongside the game's addictive nature, PUBG Mobile is allegedly causing Indian children to perform worse in exams. The games were adversely affecting the studies and the overall behaviour, conduct and language of children, the notification said.
