In addition to his time with the Yankees, Torreyes also played 26 games with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and four games with Single-A Tampa.

The deal reportedly is worth $7.5M, plus incentives, the report notes.

Torreyes, 26, can play second base, third base and shortstop, but he hasn't done much offensively in parts of 4 seasons in the big leagues. They recently designated him for assignment and later traded him to the Cubs, who elected not to tender him a contract.

He was claimed off waivers by the Cubs last week, then became a free agent when the Cubs didn't offer a 2019 contracts.

For his career, Schoop has hit.258 with 110 home runs and 333 RBI's.
