Erasmus’ Perfect Training Ground Response To Farrell Tackling Technique

File Bok coach Rassie Erasmus has called on Faf de Klerk who has been nominated for the World Rugby Player of the Year award for 2018

After losing at Twickenham‚ the Boks are now under pressure to win at the Stade de France on Saturday and although Erasmus wants to grow his depth‚ his key objective now is winning.

"If you watch that full speed, he has a big runup on me and we both bounce off each other and end up on the floor", Farrell said post-game.

And now that he is Springbok coach, that spirit hasn't disappeared - although it's not quite to the same extent.

After the game, Erasmus said, "Nothing upset me, because if it was legal we just have to latch on a little bit and tackle the same".

Erasmus and Springboks defence coach Jacques Nienaber subsequently were filmed on Monday showing Esterhuizen how to execute a tackle similar to that made by Farrell.

Indonesian Boeing jet crashed after losing key sensor
Lion Air is one of Indonesia's youngest airlines but has grown rapidly, flying to dozens of domestic and worldwide destinations. Boeing says that the 737 MAX is the fastest-selling airplane in the company's history, with over 4,700 orders to date.

In a video that has emerged on social media, Erasmus, along with defence coach Jacques Nienaber, lined up a tall tackle bag and asked Esterhuizen to take it down.

The European-based Springboks were not considered for the weekend's match against England at Twickenham, where the hosts survived late drama to post a one-point victory, because that fixtue fell outside the official global window.

Fortunately for Farrell, match referee Angus Gardner made a decision to take no further action and deemed the hard-hitting tackle fair, much to anger from the South African contingent. If that is right, we should also start tackling like that.

But now the question is: will the Boks be allowed to tackle like that against France on Saturday?

Gardner, by the way, will be an assistant referee in the Ireland-Argentina clash in Dublin, with fellow Australian Nic Berry the man in the middle.
