Brighton Library Book Sale Runs Through Sunday

The Friends of the Staunton Library kicked off its biannual book sale today at the Staunton Public Library.

Topeka's Friends of the Library are ready.

Sale hours are 9 a.m.to 6 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m.to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Membership forms are available in the library, or memberships and renewals may be bought in the lobby the day of the sale.

9 a.m.to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 20. All hard cover books, large paperback books, DVDs, audio books, and CDs will be $1 each.

FOL members will have first pick of the books for sale from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening, October 25. Half price day is November 10.

After the public sale, qualified nonprofit organizations' libraries and educational institutions are invited to select items from the general sales room. Prior arrangements and appointments must be made in advance. Bonnie Gaff, Chair of the fall book sale, said all proceeds will go toward the library to help with future upgrades.
