Adobe Announces Premiere Rush CC

The company has also confirmed that all current CC apps will be subject to their own updates. Instead, the launch window is expected to open sometime in 2019.

During its big event Adobe announced two very important apps for mobile users - its new cross-platform Adobe Premiere Rush CC and Photoshop CC for the iPad.

"Recently, two Photoshop engineers proposed this insane idea to try and run Photoshop on the iPad using the real Photoshop code", Pam Clark wrote for the Adobe blog. This enables, for example, artwork to be drawn on the iPad with final editing and composition done on a computer. Moreover, you can apply the same effects and filters as you would do on a desktop. The desktop version of Photoshop CC, meanwhile, now has an expanded Content Aware Fill workspace (below) among other revisions. This ensures that the performance remains the same on both platforms. Edits made on the iPad will be synchronized transparently with the desktop-no conversions or import/export process to go through. Check out the video for more details.

Premiere Rush CC Starter Plan: Available for free, the Starter Plan gives customers access to all Premiere Rush CC features, use of desktop and mobile apps and the ability to create an unlimited number of projects and export up to three projects for free. Mainly, the user experience has been redesigned to compliment touch controls. The app will support file providers like iCloud Drive, Dropbox, and more.

Cologne train station hostage situation in Germany today
Cologne police say they have closed parts of the western German city's main train station because of a hostage situation. The hostage-taker also suffered injuries, a police spokesperson said, adding that the man's motives were not yet known.

As part of its iPad efforts, Adobe has brought the same underlying codebase of Photoshop for desktop to iOS, and it has also worked to modernize PSD files for the cloud.

With the software, you'll be able to move between your tablet and desktop while working on the same projects. Plus, you can take advantage of the tactile-pencil-and-touch environment to work directly on the canvas using the world's most powerful creative application, Photoshop.

As Microsoft rolls out its refreshed Surface line up targeted primarily at the creative crowd, its partner Adobe maybe about to kneecap their efforts by finally releasing the flagship of its creative suite to the iPad. Nonetheless, we're still glad that it will happen soon. It's promising the remaining features will be added gradually over time, so exciting though it is, Photoshop CC for iPad looks like an ongoing project rather than an immediately finished product.
