Soon, get original shows for free in all Apple devices

Apple Planning to Give Away Free Content As Part of New Digital Media Strategy

Apple has always been rumored to be launching a Netflix-like streaming video service in 2019, and indeed it is known the company has hired big-name talent to act in or produce its original content, including Chris Evans (Captain America himself), Jennifer Aniston, and Steven Spielberg. And the reason for that makes sense once you find out exactly how this new original content will be distributed by Apple. The company is apparently planning to give away its original content for free to owners of Apple devices, according to CNBC. Free content in Apple's "TV" appApple has previously offered some of its video content for free through Apple Music but it appears that the company will be transitioning to the ‘TV app, which is now curating content from multiple services such as Amazon, HBO, iTunes, and others.

CNBC reports that upcoming Apple-funded TV shows will be available for free inside the pre-installed TV app on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV devices.

Apple also added new parental controls for those who want to keep a child's device locked down, and its Screen Time feature lets you monitor your kids' or your own device usage. After all, customers will have to buy an Apple device in order to get access to these shows, and that's what's providing all the cash to pay for these shows anyway.

Circuit, and she apparently issued the statement after the chief judge, Merrick Garland, recused himself. The judiciary's rules allow members of the public to lodge complaints about federal judges.

One of the other additions to the "TV" app is it will end up being how users access subscription channels like HBO, Showtime and Starz. It appears that Apple will, at least initially, use its TV app as a springboard. Sure, the "TV" app has helped with that now, but it still need to be improved in order to be as helpful as users want it to be.

According to CNBC's inside source, the service will launch in early 2019 to coincide with an update to the Apple TV app.

In the meantime, music encyclopedia service Genius today announced a deal with Apple that will allow Apple Music subscribers to play full songs from Genius' song page.
