Verne Troyer’s Cause of Death Revealed

The actor, best known for playing Mini-Me in the spy comedy franchise, had openly battled alcoholism and died aged 49 in April.

Following an autopsy and further tests, the Los Angeles County Coroner said he died from the effects of alcohol, and ruled his death was a suicide.

Verne Troyer, pictured in 2016, died from alcohol intoxication and it's been categorized as a suicide, according to the coroner's report.

"The manner of death was certified as a suicide".

In the full coroner's report obtained exclusively obtained by Radar, the medical examiner claimed the star suffered from "suicidal ideations", "depression" and "chronic alcohol use" before taking his own life.

He also portrayed a goblin in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and had roles in movies including The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and The Love Guru. He also touched more people's hearts than he will ever know'.
