Cristiano Ronaldo To Face Further Ban?

Emre Can Apologises For 'Degrading' Comments After Ronaldo Red-Card

Juventus midfielder Emre Can has apologised for his "we're not women" comments made in the aftermath of Cristiano Ronaldo's red card against Valencia on Tuesday.

Spanish newspaper Marca report that Nedved left his seat to vent his frustrations towards the match official after Ronaldo saw red for a coming-together with Valencia defender Jeison Murillo.

In an editorial entitled "dedicated to Cristiano Ronaldo", Tuttosport journalist Xavier Jacobelli on Thursday railed against the "scandalous" performance of Brych and Fritz, labelling the pair's decision to give Ronaldo his marching orders a "veritable insult to football".

Ronaldo was left in tears after the decision and nearly every Juventus player since then has come out to support their teammate.

The 2018-19 Champions League season got underway this week and the very first week of the tournament brought in a number of eye-catching moments.

Alex Sandro lifts the lid on how Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted following his sending off in the Champions League.

Rod Rosenstein Denies He Proposed 25th Amendment to Impeach Trump
But let me clear about this: "Based on my personal dealings with the president, there is no basis to invoke the 25 Amendment". Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein speaks during a news conference at the Department of Justice on July 13, 2018.

If they had deemed otherwise, Ronaldo would have missed his return to Old Trafford in late October and potentially the game in Italy too.

With UEFA not operating an appeals system like the one in the Premier League, Ronaldo was automatically punished with a one-match ban, ruling him out of Juventus' home match against Young Boys in two weeks' time.

He will find out next week whether his one-match ban is extended.

He told BBC Radio Five Live: "Just knowing how much Ronaldo cares, I've seen it in training".

Do you think Ronaldo deserves further punishment?

And he had strong words for fans who believe he should have only let the player go for £1billion - his buyout clause.
