Coca-Cola wants to make weed-infused drinks

Coca-Cola хоче випустити напій з каннабісом

The comments come after BNN Bloomberg reported Monday that Edmonton-based Aurora is in talks to produce cannabis-infused drinks with the world's largest beverage maker, The Coca-Cola Co.

Marijuana becomes legal across Canada on October 17.

A spokesman for the company, Kent Landers, said the plan is to infuse a non-intoxicant component of the plant in Coca-Cola drinks with hopes of relieving pain without getting people high.

It says it hasn't made any decisions about using it in coke products. Apparently the fizz company has had "serious talks" with producer Aurora Cannabis. That's a non-psychoactive ingredient derived from marijuana.

A Canadian startup is experimenting with beer brewed from stalks, stem and roots of the cannabis plant, as the country heads towards legalisation of marijuana as a recreational product from next month.

But if Fitzpatrick continues his incredible play, there's no reason for the Bucs to change anything up. He now leads the team with 275 yards and three touchdowns.

Aurora Cannabis Inc. today is responding to a request from the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada ("IIROC") regarding media reports with respect to potential partnerships with multiple beverage companies. Cannabis companies from the USA - where marijuana remains illegal at the federal level - have flocked to Canada to raise funds and establish businesses.

That was after an announcement earlier in August from cannabis company HEXO that it was teaming up with Molson Coors Canada to develop cannabis-infused drinks.

The CBD drinks would likely aim to ease inflammation, pain and cramping, the BNN report said https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/coca-cola-in-talks-with-aurora-to-develop-cannabis-drinks-sources-1.1138528#_gus&_gucid=&_gup=twitter&_gsc=gQCuZEQ.

Spirits maker Constellation Brands bought a minority stake in a Canadian marijuana producer previous year. "There are different viewpoints on a product category, and you don't want to offend too much", Dibadj said.

"The company has been caught flat-footed in the past in not keeping up with trends in beverages".
