Schalke are thought to be among those poised to make an offer, but it remains to be seen whether Chelsea will be willing to let the 22-year-old England global leave Stamford Bridge - and Loftus-Cheek is said to want to remain in the Blues squad.

The England worldwide has been linked with a move overseas this summer with the transfer window for many of Europe's top leagues not closing until August 31st.

While word coming out of Stamford Bridge is that the 22-year-old would prefer to stay put in West London - and even returned to Cobham early for pre-season - Loftus-Cheek had to settle for a place on the bench last weekend.
