Dez Bryant tweets he will visit Cleveland Browns

Dez Bryant

As for Bryant, the veteran emerged after Dorsey's comments to tweet: "I'm going to play. just whenever I get ready".

Maybe Twitter itself played a role, as earlier in the day Cleveland Browns general manager John Dorsey was noted on Twitter by beat writer Mary Kay Cabot that he's called Bryant but that the star receiver "won't return any phone calls".

This is a bit odd, because Browns GM John Dorsey said that he'd love to have Bryant for a visit, but Bryant hasn't returned his calls. "I just want to be right first".

On Tuesday night, Landry posted tweets that revisited the notion of Bryant coming to Cleveland.

Bryant's contention is that he has indeed been in communication with the Browns.

If Bryant and Dorsey can't agree on whether they've talked, how can they hash out mutually acceptable contract terms?

It seems, though, that Bryant is starting to run out of time to land with a team.

Bryant said to another Twitter user that he is not ready to play yet. "... I'm not on anybody time ..."

"I spent 8 years in Dallas.I finally get to actually enjoy my babies.I get to heal properly", he continued.

The wide receiver was released by the Cowboys in April after catching 69 passes for 838 yards and six touchdowns in 2017.
