Bird Scooters Have Landed in Cleveland

Environmentally friendly public transportation just got a whole lot more fun thanks to the arrival of Bird, a motorized rental scooter app that allows Clevelanders to fly around the city at up to 15 miles per hour easily.

CLEVELAND- The electric scooter-sharing service Bird has landed in Cleveland.

The question of who chose to pull the plug triggered a several hours of confusion Wednesday.

But in a statement to FOX4, Keeler said, "After safety incidents resulted in numerous customer and tenant complaints, Bird is pausing its operations until we can assess whether scooters are the right addition to our pedestrian-heavy district".

Australia holds key rate as prospect of hikes remains distant
Markets aren't pricing in a rate increase for at least another year, according to bets by swaps traders. Keep in mind that this was the first month in which the United States imposed tariffs on China imports .

The electric-scooter startup model involves dropping hundreds of dockless scooters into a city and then hoping people will use them. Los Angeles City Councilman Paul Koretz asked officials last week to take "all available measures" to outlaw the scooters within the city. "After city officials passed along this feedback, Bird reached out to plaza management and proactively made the Plaza a no ride zone".

"Very unusual on both sides, bird and plaza", attorney Chris Brown tweeted.

Since the interim operating agreement was signed last month, the city authorized Bird's request to add 250 more scooters. Bird employees use Global Positioning System to retrieve the scooters, recharge them and place them in designated "nests" for the next users.

The service works through the Bird smartphone app, where riders can locate scooters.
