Fetus discovered by crew on plane from Charlotte to NY, sources say

A cleaning crew found a dead fetus in the bathroom on an American Airlines plane early Tuesday morning, according to WPIX.

Flight Tracker reports Flight 1942 left Charlotte at 8:56 p.m. Monday and arrived at LaGuardia at 10:44 p.m., about 20 minutes behind schedule. While removing the toilet paper, the cleaner discovered the foot of what appeared to be a fetus, in the toilet, CBS News reports.

Fetus was thought to be 5 months along. It was the Airbus A321's only flight of the day.

Airport officials this morning tweeted about possible delays, but did not make mention of the reason.
