Fox News Parts Ways With 'The Five' Co-Host Kimberly Guilfoyle

Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle is planning to leave the network to campaign for the 2018 midterm elections with her reported boyfriend Donald Trump Jr. In her absence, a series of Fox News contributors have filled in for Guilfoyle on The Five.

According to The Hill, it is likely Guilfoyle will join a pro-Trump super PAC called America First.

CNN reported that a "second source said that donors for the group had been actively trying to recruit" Guilfoyle.

A Fox spokeswoman confirmed her departure Friday.

Guilfoyle has been a supporter of Trump. "Kim is one of the most influential voices in the #MAGA movement and knows how to light up a crowd".

Though a departure from Fox is abrupt and unexpected, the move into pro-Trump politics isn't too surprising: previous year, Trump was reported to have considered Guilfoyle to replace Sean Spicer as White House press secretary, a job she publicly lobbied for.

Trump Jr. and his wife Vanessa Haydon are recently divorced.

Neither Guilfoyle, a Fox News spokesperson, or a spokesperson for America First Policies immediately responded to requests for comment Friday morning.
