Fox News chief White House correspondent John Roberts criticized President Donald Trump on Friday for calling competing networks dishonest and "fake news" during a United Kingdom press conference.

'Given that the president took a question from a CNN reporter in his North Atlantic Treaty Organisation news conference just a day earlier, maybe he was letting off steam today rather than expressing an official stance toward a news organization's ability to report, but saying a news organization isn't real doesn't change the facts and won't stop us from doing our jobs, ' she said. "Fortunately we tend to record stories now so we have it for your enjoyment if you would like it".

The president then leaned into the microphone and loudly groused, "CNN is fake news".

The Sun had already published audio recordings of key parts of the interview.

His comments came during a joint press conference with British Prime Minister Theresa May. He added that he had apologized to her since he had given her many compliments, and said that she responded "don't worry, it's only the press".

Trump also called out NBC. He continued to make pleas for a question as Trump called on John Roberts of Fox News. "And to say they're not a real network, or fake news, is also unfair". "He also called out CNN as not a real network, fake news. I have a lot of respect for the prime minister", he added.

Trump praises strong relationship with UK's May after damning her Brexit plan
The president said the former foreign secretary would make a "great prime minister", adding "I think he's got what it takes". Britons are narrowly in favour of US President Donald Trump airing his views on Brexit, a Sky Data poll suggests.

"I do not take questions from CNN", Trump said.

The White House correspondent reportedly asked if Trump planned to tell Russian President Vladimir Putin to stay out of US elections in the future, to which Trump answered "yes". "I didn't criticize the prime minister", Trump falsely claimed. I know Kristen Welker of NBC.

Trump: "See, that's such dishonest reporting", he said, lambasting both NBC and CNN, which he frequently lumps together.

'John Roberts of Fox [News Channel]! They have fine journalists there who risk their lives to cover the news around the world.

"In today's press conference, I paused while my colleague from CNN went back and forth with President Trump over a question", Roberts said in a statement. "We appreciate The Sun for posting the entire audio of their interview so that everyone can hear the president's remarks for themselves".
