Stormy Daniels arrested in Ohio during strip club show

Stormy Daniels arrested at strip club in Ohio

The charges against Stormy Daniels have been dismissed following her arrest in OH early Thursday morning.

Stormy's lawyer, Michael Avenatti, said the incident reeked of a sting operation.

She was originally charged on three counts of illegally touching a patron.

By early afternoon, prosecutors said they were dropping the case because Ohio's law against physical contact between strippers and customers applies only to someone who "regularly" performs at a club.

Daniels was arrested at a club in Columbus while performing an act she has done at almost 100 strip clubs across the US, Michael Avenatti wrote on Twitter.

'We will fight all bogus charges'.

He said that some patrons touched the 39-year-old in a "non-sexual way", but the police claims she violated state law, which prohibits anyone who is not a family member to touch a nude or semi-nude dancer. Officers knocked on the door of her tour bus after the performance and took her into custody in an arrest that Avenatti said left her "traumatized and rattled".

She was released on bail before 6 a.m. Thursday.

Maryland insurers say Trump Administration to cut health payments destabilizes market
Federal law requires insurers to pay into the pool, but the money is from the companies, not the federal government. This introduces uncertainty into the ACA markets just as insurers are deciding next year's rates.

'This was a setup and politically motivated.

"This is ridiculous that law enforcement resources were used to conduct this sting operation", he said.

Daniels has been embroiled in a lawsuit with the President since early March, to get out of a non-disclosure agreement relating to an alleged affair she had with him in 2006.

DailyMail.com have contacted the Columbus Police Department for comment.

A third detective who observed the "criminal activity" from the back of the club told the other officers he would leave and request patrol assistance to arrest Daniels and two other suspects, according to the police report.

"As a result of what happened last night, I will unfortunately be unable to go forward with tonight's scheduled performance", Daniels said in a statement through Avenatti on Twitter. Trump has said he personally reimbursed Cohen for that payment. Mr Trump denies all allegations.

Asked if Daniels' arrest could impact her legal wrangling with Cohen, Avenatti said "not at all".

Ms Daniels says she was paid $130,000 (£98,000) shortly before the 2016 presidential election to keep quiet about her alleged sexual encounter with Mr Trump.
