Cops Toss Coin in Driver's Arrest in Georgia

S | Woman arrested on the flip of a coin

As she sat in her auto, damning bodycam footage obtained by 11Alive shows officer Brown return to the patrol vehicle to consult fellow officer Wilson on what she should do.

Brown responded that she didn't have speed detection.

The officers then returned to Webb, still waiting at her vehicle.

Officer Wilson: "A (arrest) head, R (release) tail".

Officer Brown: "Yeah. So release?"

The "coin" landed on heads, which meant Webb was cuffed.

"23", responds the officer - likely suggesting "Code 23", which is an arrest.

Though the event happened in April, it was not until recently, when Roswell Police Department were contacted about Brown and Wilson's conduct, that they were placed on leave and an investigation was launched.

"I approached the vehicle, announced myself as a city of Roswell police officer, and asked the driver is she knew how fast she was going", an officer said in the Roswell Police Department incident report.

British divers not heroes, just relieved, after rescue
The IT tech said that the divers were not heroes and directed attention to the rest of his team and the Thai Navy Seals. He denied he was a hero and said he was using a "very unique skill set" to "give something back to the community".

A local news media investigative team uncovered the video and showed it to Webb who said she had "no idea" that was the method law enforcement used in deciding whether or not she'd get a speeding ticket or go to jail. The prosecutor dismissed the case and spoke to Webb. The other officer pointed out she also didn't have any tickets.

'It makes me so upset seeing [Sarah] crying. It makes me so upset to know what they have done to her, ' she wrote.

'Sarah could have lost her job and she could have lost her license.

Police Chief Rusty Grant did not immediately return an email Friday seeking comment. This caused a big financial hardship to our family'.

'I couldn't believe what I was seeing, to be honest, ' Grant said.

The coin app, which can be spinning and dropping, lands tails but they decide to arrest her anyway. As a result, the cops are on administrative leave during an internal affairs investigation - and Webb's charges were dropped.

"They put me in a situation that was really wrong", Webb told ABC News on Friday.

She said she's still contemplating whether or not to seek legal action after the coin toss that tossed her into jail and into the public limelight.
