MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6 gets AirPlay 2 Support

Apple has added AirPlay 2 support into iTunes as part of this week's macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 update. The tvOS update added AirPlay 2 support and introduced plenty of audio-focused improvements. With this update, users can control multiple AirPlay 2-enabled speakers using iTunes on a Mac computer.

Apart from that, the macOS 10.13.6 update fixes an issue that may prevent the Photos app from reading AVCHD media from some cameras. Click on the Download button on the App Store listing and then enter your Apple ID details. Today, the Cupertino giant has released a new HomePod 11.4.1 firmware update for the Siri-toting smart speaker that improves general stability and fixes bugs, nothing else.

Importantly, the update is downloaded by the HomePod itself, meaning the instruction for it to update can be done from anywhere and at any time, even when the iOS device initiating it is not on the same WiFi network.
