Authorities have arrested a woman suspected of being involved in the assault of a 91-year-old man on the Fourth of July.

Rodolfo Rodriguez was beaten a week ago with a concrete block.

A 30-year-old woman has been arrested in a brutal July 4 attack on a 91-year-old man out for an evening walk in his neighborhood, Los Angeles police say. He has since been released from the hospital and is now recovering.

Misbel Borjas was driving by when she saw the woman hitting Rodriguez repeatedly in the head with a concrete block, she said.

Borjas said a group of men then came down the street, and the woman accused Rodriguez of trying to take the child.

"I'm just a poor old man; I don't deserve it", he told reporters in Spanish outside his home.

Stormy Daniels arrested in OH , lawyer says
Daniels was scheduled to appear at the Sirens strip club on Wednesday and Thursday nights, the club's website says. Her attorney, Michael Avenatti , tweeted that his client was taken into custody at a strip club in Columbus.

Passerby Misbel Borjas told CNN she was nearly hit by a block while attempting to film the attack, and heard a woman say, "go back to your country, go back to Mexico". Witnesses told authorities they heard one of the attackers tell Rodriguez to "go back to Mexico".

Los Angeles resident Laquisha Jones, 30, was arrested after being identified from a picture Borjas took, the sheriff's department said.

Rodriguez, who doesn't speak English, suffered broken ribs, a broken cheek bone and bruises all over his body.

"But that's not true", he told CNN about the woman's allegation, through tears.

'I'm not qualified to say she deserves five years or 10 years - that's not going to heal anything or heal me. The investigation is ongoing, and a motive for the assault "is unknown at this time", the Sheriff's Department said. In that photo, she is seen holding a piece of concrete. He was out for his daily walk when the woman attacked him for no reason, Rodriguez told CNN. "When I tried to videotape her with my cell phone, she threw that same concrete block, tried to hit my auto".

Investigators are still determining whether there are more people involved, according to the Sheriff's Department. Mendoza and the rest of Rodriguez's family started a GoFundMe page to help Rodriguez, and the campaign has already raised over $240,000, exceeding its original goal of $15,000. "She did hurt me, but I can not be an enemy and say I condemn her", Rodolfo Rodriguez told Eyewitness News during an interview at his daughter's home on Wednesday.
