"How about that race boys and girls?" said Jones, who replaced 2004 series champion Matt Kenseth at Joe Gibbs Racing this year. That saw a couple of questionable moves made by one driver that caused to big wrecks that knocked out many of NASCAR's major drivers.

NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. reportedly needed a security escort after he was blamed for causing a pair of crashes during Saturday night's Coca-Cola 400 at Daytona International Speedway.

AJ Allmendinger was third, with Kasey Kahne and Chris Buescher rounding out the top five. Ty Dillon had his first career top-10 finish in his 72nd race and it was the first top-10 finish for Germain Racing since Casey Mears finished sixth in the 2015 Daytona 500.

With 11 laps left to go in the stage, things got back underway with Stenhouse Jr. leading the way.

Who Had a Bad Day: It seemed nobody was immune to getting caught in a huge accident Saturday night and that tone started on lap 54 when almost half the field was involved in a multi-car melee. However, this wasn't the only big wreck that rocked the field during stage two.

STENHOUSE, LARSON CRASH: Kyle Larson lost control of his auto with 37 laps to go, apparently because of a tire issue, and his spin collected Stenhouse putting the field under caution for the sixth time. A huge piece of Larson's rear bumper got caught on the front end of Kevin Harvick's No. 4 Ford.

Stenhouse was most frustrated with the fact his Roush Fenway Racing team had provided him with a No. 17 Ford that appeared more than capable of winning the race.

Stenhouse won the first stage, taking the lead from pole-sitter Chase Elliott on the 14th lap.

THE BIG ONE: More than half of the 40-car field was involved in the first big crash of the night. Stenhouse Jr. was able to continue but cut a tire later in the race to take him from contention... Busch's No. 18 Toyota slide right and took out William Byron. Eight laps later, Byron and Kyle Busch were involved and the caution resulted in Byron losing his spot.

"I've got to wreck more people, and then they'll stop blocking me late and behind like that". "Ricky (Stenhouse) was doing the best he could to give me a good push and had a great run to take the lead, and the auto in front of me just threw a late, bad block, Keselowski said".

Quotable: "My fault...we're not wrecking enough people, people are throwing too many bad blocks", Brad Keselowski after getting eliminated from the race in the night's 20 vehicle crash. "It usually happens much later in the night".

Last year's race victor, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., had the most memorable run of the night. Ten laps later a six-car wreck eliminated Kyle Busch and William Byron ... My first win at Daytona, My first superspeedway win.
