Fowler: Southgate treats England players like adults

England are into the World Cup semi-finals, with Harry Maguire admitting that football is coming home for the Three Lions ..."hopefully".

Nearly 20 million people in Britain watched England reach the Soccer World Cup semi-finals on television, viewing figures showed on Sunday, not accounting for the many more who watched in pubs.

England's victory over Sweden in the quarter final stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup has assured England a place in the semi-finals and the fans are a bit too excited with the news.

Much of that success has been down to the ability of the team to come closer to the fans and Southgate himself has done just that after the big game wins.

Even if Southgate's team reach the final, William will not attend the match because of Britain's diplomatic boycott of the World Cup in Russian Federation over a nerve agent attack in England this year. So to be here now, leading this team out, I'm so proud.
