Other tidbits tipped in the leak hints at improved 360-degree obstacle avoidance technology, which is a big feature if you are using the drone to record video in an environment with lots of obstacles like trees overhead and brush down low.

As expected, the DJI Mavic Pro II will have a gorgeous but practical design.

The Mavic 2 might also be helpful for budding aerial cinematographers.

And if you take a close look at the left of the leaked picture, it seems like the Mavic 2's motor-stabilized camera might be able to become a portable handheld gimbal as well.

Now a newly leaked picture seems to corroborate the story, with a drone bearing the name Mavic 2 on it.

The decision was welcomed by former Cambridge Analytica employee and whistleblower Christopher Wylie. Politicians are calling for greater transparency from Facebook in light of the ICO fine.

One of the more interesting elements to this drone could be a removable camera gimbal, which would then give the operator a few different options in terms of the type of lens they wish to shoot with. This may explain the title of the See the Bigger Picture event. There has been no official comment from DJI on the leaked drone. It delivered much of what the Mavic Pro could do at a lower price. If this is really the DJI Mavic 2, drone enthusiasts should definitely get excited about it.

The photos that leaked of the DJI Mavic Pro 2 do not show the rear legs. But maybe not right away - because DJI confirms that though it had a July 18 event planned (perhaps for a product launch?) the event has now been pushed back.

We're now waiting for details about DJI's next press event, which may or may not take the wraps off the follow-up to the Mavic Pro.

Cooling vents feature at the front quarters of the model and the legs would appear to be deeper, possibly to remove the need for the commonly seen "leg extension" accessories fitted by many owners.

The arms of this drone are also rounded rather than featuring sharp and defined edges as per the original model.
