Xbox One mouse-and-keyboard support could be rolling out soon

Microsft has promised mouse and keyboard support for Xbox One.

Microsoft previously said in 2015 it was working on mouse and keyboard compatibility. In a presentation to developers earlier this year, Microsoft showed off how a Razer Turret keyboard and mouse would work on Xbox, in partnership with Razer. Now, it seems that Microsoft needed a partner to bring it to its flagship console as Microsoft might be partnering with Razer for mouse and keyboard support on Xbox One.

Not only that, the presentation reveals that Razer intends to take advantage of the Chroma RGB to provide "visuals cues for abilities coming off cooldown and so on". Meanwhile, the question is whether Xbox One fans would be eager to use mouse and keyboard on the console or rather fearful of the balance in multiplayer games with controllers.

Next, developers will be able to detect the presence of a connected mouse and keyboard, and are encouraged to use that factor for matching up players in competitive titles so that those using gamepads aren't at a disadvantage.

West Nile virus is detected in mosquitoes in Lancaster County
No human cases have been found in the county this season or in years past, according to county health officials. The insect can transmit diseases, not to mention keep you and your pets indoors through the summer.

The presentation noted that the mouse and keyboard support for the Xbox One would arrive with April update this Fall.

Microsoft and Razer are officially working on a keyboard and mouse solution for gaming on the Xbox One. This could also make it easier for PC gamers to transition smoothly to Microsoft's console, and allow console veterans to try out new playing styles since they won't be restricted to traditional controllers. Developers would be able to customize the visibility and appearance of the mouse pointer in Xbox One titles as well.

The Xbox will supposedly support all USB mice that can be used with Windows; Bluetooth and custom-driver peripherals will not be supported. Let us know in the comments.
