"Don’t say anything you don’t give": trump threw in Merkel candy

German Chancellor Angela Merkel

At some point after that picture was taken, Trump reportedly stood up and tossed Starburst sweets he had in his pockets toward German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the table in front of her. "Don't say I never give you anything", he said, adding that it showed Trump's "emotional state".

According to Ian Bremmer, president of Eurasia Group who spoke to CBS about the "Starburst outburst", the moment happened shortly after THAT image of the G7 leaders surrounding a clearly upset Trump was taken.

During the most recent G-7 summit, during which Trump engaged in bitter rhetoric and an epic staredown with world leaders, his actions behind the scenes of that event were even more embarrassing than the picture itself. "Don't say I never give you anything, '" Bremmer described to CBS.

Trump initially resisted signing the statement but later agreed, pulling the sweets from his suit pocket and saying: "Here, Angela".

Bremmer added that USA allies were "extraordinarily disheartened" at the situation, and Trump did not want to attend the G7 at all but was convinced to by advisers at the last minute.

"As a teacher, the Prime Minister should know that education doesn't happen overnight", Mr Smith said in a statement. Those provisions will take effect on a date that the government plans to announce soon.

"He was convinced by his advisors the day before that he needed to. And one thing we know about Trump is when he's told to do things that he doesn't want to do, he doesn't respond to them easily".

Trump had reportedly not wanted to attend the summit but was persuaded to go at the last minute by his advisers.

President Trump threw candies to German Chancellor Angela Merkel during a tense moment in the high-pressure meeting with the G7 leaders earlier this month, it has been reported.

"Based on Justin's false statements at his news conference, and the fact that Canada is charging massive Tariffs to our U.S. farmers, workers and companies, I have instructed our U.S. Reps not to endorse the Communique as we look at Tariffs on automobiles flooding the U.S. Market!"

After the G7 summit, Trump again criticised Trudeau and withdrew his support for the communiqué.
