Fans punch on in farcical Fury comeback fight

"To come from 27-and-a-half stone and to get to fighting level for Saturday night, then that is a statement, isn't it?"

Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury makes his boxing comeback on Saturday after nearly three years in exile that left him feeling suicidal. But I wouldn't change a thing.

Fury's titles are now in the hands of English rival Anthony Joshua, but promoter Frank Warren said fights against Joshua and Deontay Wilder, the World Boxing Council (WBC) champion from American, are a way off yet.

The 29-year-old's last fight saw him defeat Wladimir Klitschko to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, but excruciatingly public struggles with addiction and mental health issues prevented any defences of the most prestigious of crowns.

The former WBA-IBF-WBO world heavyweight champion enjoyed his moment but did not get into his stride until the fourth round, and that was enough for Seferi to surrender on his stool.

Seferi was seven inches shorter and almost five stones lighter than Fury, who used his reach and height to ensure there was never any danger of an upset.

"I'll be better next time".

Fed raises key rate and sees possible acceleration in hikes
The unemployment rate is seen falling to 3.6 percent in 2018, compared to the 3.8 percent forecast in March. And a majority of policy makers said they now expect a total of four interest rate increases this year .

Fans will now be expecting Team Fury to take on some tougher challenges in next fights, with the The Gypsy King due to be back out on the Carl Frampton undercard on August 18 in Belfast.

He vowed: "I'm happy to to be back and I'll take my career very seriously this time".

But Fury's reign was brief with rematches twice cancelled against Klitschko before he admitted to problems with depression, drink and drugs.

Britain's Tyson Fury, left, punches Sefer Seferi.

"Tyson will step up each time", Warren said at a press conference.

It was not always pretty from Fury, but it allowed the 6ft 9in Englishman to shed some of the ring rust before moving on to harder tests.

But Fury was adamant he was focused on the task of beating Seferi, whose 23 professional career wins have all come at cruiserweight, with his lone loss to heavyweight contender Manuel Charr in September 2016.
