The Elder Scrolls Blades Announced For Phones

Bethesda Just Announced ELDER SCROLLS VI and STARFIELD

While the announcement came at E3 2018, we sadly won't be seeing the next Elder Scrolls game for a long time.

A new mobile game titled Elder Scrolls Blades was announced, promising a "pure Elder Scrolls game" with "console-quality graphics" on smartphones. "You'll be who you want - exploring a huge world, doing quests, experiencing a story and leveling up - we love those things about our games, too", Howard said. Known as The Elder Scrolls Travels, these mobile adventures to Tamriel ranged from flip phones to the ill-fated N-Gage, and even a cancelled PSP game. So far a PC experience, the game will launch on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One later this year with overhauled visuals. Bethesda's expansion beyond traditional consoles offers a potential wealth of hallmark IP's in forms we haven't seen before.

A post on the official Bethesda website said: "Pre-ordering Fallout 76 is the only way to get access to the B.E.T.A. Visit fallout.bethesda.net/buy-now to pre-order the game from your preferred participating retailer or digital platform".

More intriguingly, Fallout 76 will be primarily online, a first in the series. Bethesda says Blades supports the two-handed landscape control scheme and a one-handed portrait setup if you'd prefer to play with one hand.

Starfield's main focus is going to be single-player. Starfield is the first new franchise to Bethesda Softworks for, neither more nor less, 25 years, because the wait is clearly worth it. The game is now in full production stage and a playable build of the game is available at Bethesda Game Studios.

How is "Elder Scrolls Blades" different from previous titles in the series?

When will The Elder Scrolls VI be released?

Blades looks like a hugely ambitious game and it's clear Bethesda has gone to lengths to ensure it's fully optimised for mobile.

What else is Bethesda studios releasing?
