Chance of Showers, Storms Monday

Storm threats this evening

Otherwise, hot and humid with highs in the mid-90s and the Heat Index over 100°.

Here in the Lehigh Valley, the weather service says it will be cool today with temperatures generally in the low 70s. Winds N 5-10 miles per hour. Lots of lightning and heavy downpours are associated with these storms. While that's great news for the outdoors activities, we could us some rain around here, as the last 6 weeks have been quite dry overall. Do think the best chance of rain (if we were to get any) were to stay south of I-70 closer to the frontal boundary.

We have been upgraded to an enhanced risk for severe storms for areas in orange. Lows will drop in the mid 60s to low 70s with a northeast wind around 5 miles per hour.

EXTENDED: The slight storm chance continues into Sunday with possible morning rain and only an isolated afternoon storm chance.
