Tyson Fury announces comeback - with sights set on Anthony Joshua

Tyson Fury returns in June

After his unexpected victory over Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015, the 29 years old briton was cleared to fight again in December by UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) after accepting a backdated two-year ban for testing positive for the banned steroid Nandrolone.

Tyson Fury has scheduled his first fight in over two-and-a-half years for June 9 at the Manchester Arena, against an unconfirmed opponent.

Deontay Wilder, the WBC titleholder, was also bracketed with Joshua as "sluggers, wild punchers" but he puts the American at the top of the heavyweight division due to his stamina and ability to win fights in closing stages.

And Fury dismissed the theory he may have been frustrated to be away from boxing while Anthony Joshua has stepped into the spotlight and become the WBA, IBF and WBO belt holder.

Given his well-publicised issues outside of the ring, Fury believes he will have a lot of support on his return.

Fury revealed that he keeps in frequent contact with Joshua and Wilder "because we all should fight each other, we all want to fight each other and the day is coming when we will all fight each other so that I can prove I am the real world heavyweight champion".

And in a press conference announcing his return, Fury continued the war of words.

Rockstar Announces Red Dead Redemption 2 Special and Ultimate Editions
Red Dead Redemption II is available to pre-order now and will release on 26th October 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. The Special Edition's weapons include the " Volcanic Pistol ", "Pump-Action Shotgun" and " Lancaster Varmint Rifle ".

The three titles once held by Fury now belong to Anthony Joshua, who has won seven fights since his rival last competed, unifying the belts against Joseph Parker last month.

Fury sees plenty of weaknesses in Wilder's game though, saying that "he's a bit weak around the whiskers and he's not the best boxer in the world so they're all very beatable".

After signing a multi-fight deal with Star sport columnist and promoter Frank Warren, Fury said: "I'm ready".

Not that Frank Warren will allow him to return that hurriedly. A few years removed from his memorable night, those aforementioned belts are now in the hands of Joshua. By the time I get ready to fight its going to be an easy fight.

"I don't rate him at all against me. I'll keep on doing this for another 10 years, and then I'm done".

Here's everything you need to know about the next Tyson Fury fight.

"[Joshua] is an exciting fighter but I'm confident when I get in that ring, I will win".
