Man United's Marcus Rashford writes letter to city on bombing anniversary

The former is made up of people who were caught up the attack a year ago, while the latter saw their post-attack tribute - a version of Ariana Grande's My Everything - go viral and earn them the chance to perform with the star at the One Love Manchester concert.

Singer Ariana Grande (below), who had been performing at Manchester Arena when the attack took place, said she was "thinking of you all". "Thinking of you all today and every day", she wrote, with an emoji of the bumblebee which is a symbol of Manchester.

Families of those killed as well as survivors of the attack at the Manchester Arena on May 22, 2017, were also at the service, along with rescue workers who were first on the scene of the tragedy.

Meanwhile, Prince William remembered the 22 victims of the Manchester bombing by attending the Manchester Arena National Service of Commemoration at Manchester Cathedral, according to the reports.

During the remembrance service, Prince William gave a bible reading called The Gift of Love, which included the passage: "If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels but do not have love, I am but a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal".

A one-minute silence was observed in the cathedral, across the city and in public buildings across the country.

What made us really think about it the most was when Jesse [Lingard] and I went to visit some of the younger victims in hospital.

Some laid bouquets of flowers in St. Ann's Square; others left hand-written notes on Japanese maples that have been planted to form a "Trees of Hope" trail through the city.

It's time to speculate! Previously, Ubisoft planned to release four AAA titles and predicted it would sell 23 million units. If we had to guess, that game is probably Watch Dogs 3 or the recently rumored return of Splinter Cell .

Tributes were also made by the city's two Premier League football clubs, City and United, with Manchester United saying: "Always Remember".

The 30-minute singalong in Albert Square featured...

Dean of Manchester Rogers Govender said: "In this service we come together as people of different faiths and none, as we remember with love before God those whose lives were lost, and those whose lives have been changed forever and have to live with the bad memories of that day 12 months ago". It has now been a year since the attack, but the singer says that it is "still so heavy on [her] heart".

Speaking after the service, Mr Potter said: "It brought a lot of memories back, but it was somewhere we had to come to support the families who have lost people".

Buses in Manchester pulled over by the roadside, and MPs in the House of Commons stood in silence.

Bells on the city hall and churches will ring out at 10:31 p.m., exactly a year since the bomb exploded.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the Manchester bombing as a live murder inquiry, with a sustained team of around 100 police officers on the case.

Andy Burnham, mayor of Greater Manchester, told BBC Radio that all those impacted would be "at the very forefront of our minds" during the day.
