Kurt Cobain Death Photos Will Remain Sealed Following New Court Ruling

Kurt Cobain's famous guitar is now in the hands of his daughter Frances Bean Cobain's ex-husband

The Nirvana frontman's death in April 1994 was ruled officially as suicide, but conspiracy theorists have always abounded that foul play was involved.

Kurt's famous MTV Unplugged guitar was part of a nasty divorce settlement between his daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, and her ex-husband, Isaiah Silva.

The court of appeals ruled in favour of Cobain's widow, Courtney Love, and daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, who had sought a ruling "permanently enjoining the City from disclosing, disseminating, releasing, or distributing any death-scene photographs not previously disclosed", the Blast reports.

Page Six reported in December that the couple's divorce had been finalized, but that they were unable to come to an agreement over their assets, including the instrument.

Silva won the 1959 Martin D-I8E in a property settlement.

In January 2017, Silva had claimed that she gave him the guitar as a wedding present, which she denied, adding it was a "priceless family heirloom".

She claimed that Lee "stalked and harassed me, my family and my friends for many, many years..."

Frances has apparently done well out of the divorce though.

It became a classic case of "he said, she said, ' with the 'he said" winning out in this case.

The guitar is estimated to be worth millions of dollars and is said to be only one of 300 made at the time. He also has to move out from the house that they bought and has to pay for his own legal bills. "I'm very glad that she's out of this very unsafe and toxic relationship".
