Posting on Instagram, Gwyneth adoringly captioned the post: "Happy birthday, my darling girl". Every day you make me feel like Christmas day.

In a second post, she shared a gorgeous snap of Apple, with the most handsome caption.

While Paltrow married Apple's father Chris Martin in 2003, the pair announced their high-profile divorce in 2014 (who could forget the now-infamous "conscious uncoupling" statement on Paltrow's lifestyle website Goop). Paltrow recently said that her ex-husband is "like a brother" to her, and the two have even gathered around the brunch table with the actress's new fiancé, Brad Falchuk.
