1 killed 2 injured in Aliso Viejo gas leak explosion

U.S. officials confirmed it had responded to an explosion.

One person died and at least three were injured after the explosion at the Aliso Viejo medical building.

The fire service initially said a vehicle may have crashed into the side of the building, but authorities later said this may not have been the case.

FBI spokesman Mike Gifford said the cause of the explosion is still unknown and the agency has sent resources to help with the investigation, which is being led by Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Late Tuesday afternoon, NBC4 - citing unnamed federal sources - said investigators had determined that the blast was an "intentional detonation", and the explosive device was delivered to the building, addressed to a specific person.

However, he says no explosive device has been found in the building and investigators still aren't saying whether the explosion was accidental or intentional.

The explosion happened in the first floor of a two-story office building, said Capt.

US Hits Iran Central Bank Governor With Sanctions
The Treasury said Seif covertly moved "hundreds of millions of dollars" to " Hezbollah " from the IRGC via Al-Bilad Islamic Bank. Those funds were then used to "enrich and support the violent and radical agenda of "Hezbollah", Treasury said.

"This is going to be a slow process", Bommarito said.

"As far as what I'm hearing there was no auto involved", Carrie Braun of the Orange County Sheriff's Department said.

McWilliams said she saw two burned women staggering out of the building, covered in ash and soot. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.

"We have confirmed there was no vehicle inside", Bommarito said, adding there was an explosion inside the building.

The explosion, in a normally tranquil South Orange County city, prompted the evacuation of nearby businesses and a school filled with children, officials said. The injured were taken to a hospital.

Crews extinguished a fire that had erupted in the building.
