Browns coach Hue Jackson set to jump in Lake Erie

Hue Jackson to jump into Lake Erie on June 1 to fulfill promise

Jackson had a stent placed in his heart in 2014, and his doctors did not allow him to jump into the frigid water immediately after the 2017 season ended, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Jackson, following a 1-15 season in 2016, vowed to take a dip in the lake if the Browns finished with that record the following year.

He announced Monday that he'll make good on his promise to jump in Lake Erie on June 1st for charity. "I'll be swimming in the lake over there or somewhere".

Jackson, together with his wife, formally opened his charity past year, according to the team's website, and they will be opening a residence home in cooperation with the Salvation Army in about two months that will cater to survivors of human trafficking. "I don't like to do it for the reason I am having to do it, but I have to make do on my word".

Here is Jackson, himself, making the announcement.

Judge Denies Manafort's Motion to Dismiss Charges in Russia Probe
Manafort, Jackson said, was not merely associated with President Donald Trump's campaign but served as its chairman for a time. Ellis of the Eastern District of Virginia expressed skepticism earlier this month of the scope of Mueller's authority.

Of course, Jackson never said when he'd jump into the lake.

The Browns coach is asking other team employees to make the jump with him and he plans to donate $100 to the Hue Jackson foundation for every employee who jumps in.

Jackson said earlier in the year that the plunge will be a symbolic cleansing of the organization.

But Jackson is a more charitable person than I, and has agreed to jump in the lake for a good cause.

Jackson and his wife, Michelle, launched the foundation last summer. They went 0-16. And so now he's going to jump in a lake. Thus, Jackson will be jumping into the lake in June and will benefit his charity.
