Mum's proposal upstaged by peeing three-year-old son

Little did they know they were being upstaged

- Kevin Przytula's proposal to his girlfriend Allyssa Anter was adorably interrupted as her son chose to go to the bathroom in the middle of the intimate moment in Bay City, Michigan, in early May.

However, little did she know that as she was saying "yes" and hugging and kissing her new fiancé at Bay City's Ring of Friendship sculpture, her adorable son, Owen, has made a decision to drop his trousers and take a pee in the background.

It was filmed by Kevin's 11 year-old daughter Kayleigh, with the newly-engaged couple happy to see the amusing side of the unusual distraction.

Przytula kept his gaze on Allyssa.

Allyssa Anter says her son "stole the show", and acknowledges his potty training is a work in progress.

Anter, 27, is studying sociology at Saginaw Valley State University and Przytula, 33, does disaster recovery nationwide.

Another version of the video with strategic pixelization was later posted to YouTube, where it has clocked up more than 145,000 views.
