Hurricane center watching system bringing heavy rain to South Florida

A trough and low pressure system are moving into the Gulf from the region around Cuba and the Bahamas and is now slowly moving to the north.

The NHC now has this system's chances of reaching tropical storm strength (over 39 MPH) at 30% through the next 2 days and a medium chance at 40% over the next 5 days.

The National Hurricane Center said Sunday afternoon it was watching an area of storms in the Gulf of Mexico that may strengthen into a tropical cyclone, a strong, rotating system of thunderstorms.

BlackBerry KEY2 To Launch On June 7 In New York
As per the images available on the TENAA site, the smartphone will have a complete rubberised, textured panel on the back. The phone is rumoured to come with a dual rear camera setup with 12MP and 8MP sensors and an 8MP front camera.

Regardless of subtropical or tropical development, the system looks to be just a rainmaker for Southwest Florida helping to improve drought conditions and suppress ongoing brush fires across the region.

The disturbance was given less than a 40 percent chance of developing into a named storm, according to a tropical outlook memo issued Sunday.

The system, which for now is a large area of cloudiness, showers and thunderstorms, is expected to move north toward the Florida panhandle and have minimal impact in south Louisiana. The moisture from this system will begin to move into the Grand Strand and Pee Dee by Tuesday morning.
