BlackBerry KEY2 To Launch On June 7 In New York

While not much is yet known about the features that BlackBerry KEY2 will offer, it will carry its signature physical keyboard in all likelihood.

Announced on Twitter on Friday, BlackBerry will host a launch event on June 7 in NewYork at 10am ET (7:30pm IST) to officially announce the BlackBerry KEY2. The unveiling will take place in NY at 10am on the aforementioned date.

The BlackBerry Key2 is a successor to last year's BlackBerry KeyOne that boasts Android OS, and the standard BlackBerry QWERTY keyboard. Previous leaks of the upcoming BlackBerry phone had named the device the BlackBerry Athena, though it is most likely to be the Key2.

Jurgen Klopp makes admission to Liverpool FC fans about Emre Can
Liverpool hero Steven Gerrard has also opened up on his former side's chances of beating Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

The invitation apparently includes the tag "an icon reborn", so don't be entirely surprised if the Key 2 is somewhat nostalgic in design, at least compared to most modern smartphones. The phone is rumoured to come with a dual rear camera setup with 12MP and 8MP sensors and an 8MP front camera. As per the images available on the TENAA site, the smartphone will have a complete rubberised, textured panel on the back. The smartphone might have a 3.5mm audio jack on the top and it might feature a USB Type-C port at the bottom.

No further details have been revealed at this point in time but seeing as how it's a successor to the KeyOne, it's safe to say that the handset is going to have a full QWERTY keyboard.

Meanwhile, other leaked images had suggested that the KEY2 will have a plastic build. Some reports suggests that the device could be powered by a Snapdragon 660 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM.
