Rolls-Royce debuts its first SUV, the $325000 Cullinan

Rolls-Royce reveals its first SUV

Rolls-Royce has gone into overdrive to mark the launch of its first 4x4. Even Bentley and Lamborghini now offer them and Ferrari seems to be toying with the idea of something similar.

The all-new Rolls-Royce Cullinan is set to arrive in the Philippines in Q1 of 2019. Until then, Cullinan has done a proper job of introducing the Rolls Royce's reputation. Rolls-Royce claims it is the most fitting name for their extraordinary product. Which is why the designers created just such an environment by interposing a retractable glass partition between the rear seats and the 560-litre (600 with the parcel shelf removed) luggage compartment. That method, these inside are shielded from attainable harsh climate whereas baggage, or art work, or what have you ever, is loaded into the again.

The cargo compartment is extraordinarily flexible.

The Cullinan wasn't built in a vacuum, says Rolls Royce; there had been requests from customers around the world to build "the Rolls-Royce of SUVs", mostly from wealthy young entrepreneurs, heavily into the "experience economy" who want to be able to take the road less travelled, to the places that more conventional Rolls-Royce owners never see, in the old-school luxury that is the brand's trademark.

That's assuming you got the rear bench seat. Though its exterior silhouette is relatively linear, upright, and inflected with more than a bit of refined restraint, the cabin reveals impressive swaths of mirror-matched veneers, wraparound leather surfaces, and niceties like an available fixed rear center console with a refrigerator, a whiskey decanter and glasses, and Champagne flutes. Behind them, will probably be that cup partition. Also, the headlights come with "eyebrow-shaped" LED daytime running lights which give it a more distinct face.

Russian Federation will continue 'close coordination' with Iran on nuclear deal
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov similarly said that Moscow remains committed to the Iran nuclear deal. The comments come amid a regional flare-up between Israel and Iran in Syria.

Called "The Cullinan" - named after the world's largest diamond - the plush behemoth packs all the creature comforts and smooth ride of a Rolls with off-road capabilities from all-wheel drive.

Giles Taylor, director of design, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, added: "The label SUV is now applied to anything with a two-box silhouette and the least suggestion of going off tarmac". That's thanks to the all-wheel-drive SUV's self-leveling air suspension. When driving off-road it could actually immediately push down on any wheel that computer systems sense is dropping traction. All-wheel drive is standard with all-wheel steering.

Consumers may select elective "recreation modules" that include gear for actions corresponding to base leaping, mountain climbing, snowboarding or drone racing.

The primary clients will get their new Cullinans across the finish of this 12 months, in response to Rolls-Royce.
