Details of Palestinian Fadi al-Batsh killed in Malaysia shown on a slideshow during a press conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Sunday, April 22, 2018.

The 35-year-old Palestinian lecturer, who had been living in Malaysia with his wife and three children for 10 years, was shot dead in Setapak here by two assailants as he was on his way for subuh prayers at 6am on Satur-day. Israel says the violence is being orchestrated by Hamas, which it accuses of trying to carry out border attacks under the cover of large protests. "We have heard the announcements by the heads of the Hamas taking responsibility for the man, explaining he was involved with the production of rockets, with improving the rockets' accuracy", he is quoted as saying by Haaretz newspaper.

He called on the Malaysian authorities to act swiftly and find the culprits.

Hamas has acknowledged that al-Batsh was a member of the organization's terrorist wing. He said that there's a tradition at this point among terrorist organisations of blaming Israel for every settling of accounts.

"There are accusations only against the Israeli Mossad, and us, we accuse only the Israeli Mossad, and the Malaysian government should accelerate the investigation".
