Donald Trump Putin Bragged About Russian Hookers ... Claims Comey

The details were disclosed Thursday as the Justice Department released redacted versions of memos - some of which contained previously classified material - that Comey composed in the immediate aftermath of his interactions with Trump, a step he says he took because he was troubled by their conversations and anxious that the president might one day lie about them.

The memos, which the Justice Department gave to various Capitol Hill committees Thursday evening after House Republicans have threatened to subpoena them, closely match Comey's public testimony on the topics in Congress and in recent interviews: That Trump demanded his loyalty, wanted to protect then-National Security Adviser Michael Flynn from investigation, and that he wanted to end the Russian Federation investigation.

At the White House dinner in January, Comey said Trump told him that Flynn "has serious judgment issues".

Flynn was sacked a month later after White House officials said he had misled about his Russian contacts during the transition period.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., responded by saying the memos showed Trump's "contempt for the rule of law".

That's according to a memo written by former FBI Director James Comey.

Remnick also asked Comey about a Times article that ran on October 31, 2016, under the headline "Investigating Donald Trump, F.B.I".

In a different memo dated February 14, 2017, Comey talked about Flynn again during a one-on-one meeting with the President.

"Because they reason that problems for a president often come from Justice, they try to bring Justice close, which paradoxically makes things worse because an independent DOJ and Federal Bureau of Investigation are better for a president and the country".

Trump Adds Giuliani to Legal Team After FBI Raid on Cohen
In recent weeks, Mr Trump has struggled to bring on attorneys and last month lost one of the key lawyers representing him. In 2016, Giuliani appeared to be vying for the job that now belongs to Jeff Sessions - attorney general .

The memos provide more detail about Comey's conversations with Trump regarding the FBI's investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email server. He revealed a year ago that he had written the memos after conversations with Trump. Comey says Trump did not say when Putin had made the comment.

They said the memos "made clear (Trump) wanted allegations of collusion, coordination, and conspiracy between his campaign and Russian Federation fully investigated" as well as "the salacious, unsubstantiated allegations related to personal conduct leveled in the dossier" compiled by ex-British spy Christopher Steele.

Mostly, though, the accounts are about Trump, drafted soon after Comey had concluded each meeting or conversation with him.

Redacted and un-redacted variations of the memos James Comey wrote relating to his interactions with President Trump have been supplied to Congress.

The "golden showers" Trump referred to stemmed from a rumor that Trump had entertained prostitutes and witnessed a sexual act while in a Moscow Ritz-Carlton hotel room in 2013.

Trump eventually fired Comey and has given several reasons, including Comey's handling of the Hillary Clinton investigations and the Russian Federation matter.

"I don't think his congressional allies did him any favors tonight by revealing these memos", Wilson said, agreeing with many commentators speaking out on Twitter Thursday. Four of the notes are classified and have been partially redacted, and three of them are unclassified. The Justice Department asked for more time, and the lawmakers agreed.

McCabe's camp says he was well within his rights to authorize the release of information to the press and he told the truth about the matter afterward.
