More details on dead man in photo linked to Bruce McArthur serial murder case to be released Monday

Toronto police are slated to release more details this morning on the mystery man in a photograph found on alleged serial killer Bruce McArthur's computer.

Police believe Kanagaratnam was killed between September 3 and December 14, 2015.

Idsinga said they had no evidence that Kanagaratnam had any links to the city's LGBTQ neighbourhood, unlike all seven other victims.

In this artist's sketch, alleged serial killer Bruce McArthur makes an appearance via video in a Toronto courtroom, Wednesday, April 11, 2018.

The new charge is for the death of Kirushna Kumar Kanagaratnam, who arrived in Canada from Sri Lanka in 2010. He said identification was confirmed with the assistance of an global government agency.

"I won't speak to the specific mechanisms we used to identify him", Idsinga said.

On Friday, police announced that they had identified a dead man who is believed to be another alleged victim of McArthur.

Kingdom Hearts III New Trailer Reveals Game & Watch Style Mini-Games
Despite this, there is still no exact date for its debut, but we know that it will arrive sometime this year. Game publisher Square Enix recently hosted a Kingdom Hearts Union X fan meetup in Anaheim California.

Police originally released a photo of the victim to the public in the hope that someone could help correctly identify them.

McArthur has so far been charged with the murders of eight men between 2010 and 2017. And in February, he was charged in the death of Skandaraj Navaratnam. Police had previously identified the remains of six other victims in those planters.

"We have a lot of searches still to do", he said.

The sprawling police investigation, which Idsinga has previously described as unprecedented in size and scope, is now also scrutinizing 15 unsolved homicides that took place between 1975 and 1997.

Kayhan's remains have not yet been found. The probe was closed after yielding neither suspects nor leads on what happened to the men. It was not immediately clear whether he had been reported missing in Sri Lanka, where his immediate family lives. Police said at the time believed the man was one of McArthur's victims and requested the public's help in learning who he was. They say he was 43 or 44 years old and was never reported missing.

The alleged victims fit a pattern: Most were of Middle Eastern or South Asian descent and lived on the margins of Canadian society, their disappearances attracting little attention. Many of them were known to frequent Toronto's Gay Village area.

Police said there are now no known links between Kanagaratnam and the "Gay Village" of Toronto which other victims are known to have visited.
