Comey: Trump is 'morally unfit to be president'

James Comey described US President Donald Trump as

In his new book, former Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey discusses an uncomfortable January 11, 2017 phone call he had with then President-elect Donald Trump, who was fixated on the so-called "pee tape" portion of the infamous Steele dossier.

Mr Comey also said there was possibly some evidence of obstruction of justice in another of his claims - that Mr Trump had asked him to let go a criminal investigation into the President's former national security adviser, Michael Flynn.

He says he knows that's a "stunning" possibility and something that he never thought he'd say about a president of the United States. "People in this country need to stand up and go to the voting booth and vote their values".

"3 presidents are in my book: 2 help illustrate the values at the heart of ethical leadership; 1 serves as a counterpoint".

The book was the subject of five of eight tweets sent by the president on Sunday morning. The director had recorded notes of every encounter between him and the president.

JAMES COMEY: Wow, was my reaction.

In an exclusive interview with ABC News' chief anchor George Stephanopoulos, James Comey broke his silence about a wide range of topics relating to his interactions with Donald Trump before being unceremoniously fired a year ago.

Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch is defending her actions in the Hillary Clinton email investigation following criticism from former FBI Director James Comey.

In it, Comey made some stunning statements about President Trump's relationship with Russian Federation. Comey adds, "It was all, 'What can we say about what they did and how it affects the election that we just had?'"

Russian Federation warns U.S. launching air strikes could spark a war
Mattis appealed at the meeting for more time to gather evidence to prove the Assad regime was responsible for the attack. But the administration appeared determined to deliver on the president's threat to punish the use of poison gas.

VS Kokje elected VHP's new global president
Earlier, VHP working global president Pravin Togadia had claimed that due procedure was not being followed in the election. Kokje got 131 of 192 votes polled in the election despite Togadia throwing his weight behind Reddy.

Among the many revelations is that Trump fixated on unconfirmed allegations in a widely circulated intelligence dossier that Russians had filmed him interacting with prostitutes in Moscow in 2013. My wife and girls marched in the women's march the day after President Trump's inauguration. "I don't follow him on Twitter, but I'm sure it's going to come", Comey said. Specifically, both the White House and Congress have been attempting to paint Comey as a partisan who declined to prosecute Hillary Clinton in the face of "overwhelming" evidence of crimes.

The former FBI director also again said Trump asked for his loyalty as the FBI, but Comey, who was appointed to the job by Trump's predecessor Barack Obama, said his loyalty is supposed to be to the American people and to the institution of the FBI.

The network has been promoting the interview with enticing bits of information, including Stephanopoulos revealing that Comey compares Trump to a "mob boss."

Comey told ABC News that the title of the book came from that "bizarre conversation" he had with Trump at the White House in January 2017, shortly after his inauguration.

Comey declined to answer when asked whether he believed Trump should be impeached, calling it a "question of law and fact and politics". But he said Trump's moral qualifications were lacking.

In a pair of tweets, Trump accused Comey of leaking classified information and lying to Congress under oath. "Reasonable people would've chosen a different door for reasonable reasons", he said.

"It's the family, the family, the family, the family", Comey said. There is no indication Comey is under investigation for doing either.

Several of the episodes he describes in detail, including a private conversation about former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn, are central to special counsel Robert Mueller's Russian Federation investigation and his recollections are presumably valuable for prosecutors examining whether the president's actions constitute obstruction of justice.
