Stranger adopts baby from struggling woman she met on flight

She was considering adoption and says she didn't have the means to support a child.

"We believe it could be a domestic disturbance, but we'll know more when we question her, get downtown and she decides to talk", said Detective K. Heaverlo with HPD Homicide.

Phipps sensed Snipes was nervous on the flight, and asked her why.

As they left the airport, Phipps gave Snipes her phone number and told her to call if she needed anything.

So Snipes called Phipps, asking her to come visit her in the hospital.

Just three days later, Snipes went into labor early.

"After Temple got there, I had asked if she wanted to feed my son".

According to Fox News, Snipes chose to move back home with her mother to learn how to heal and love herself again.

"I was scared and insecure and I wasn't even sure how to live on my own at that point", Snipes said. "And I look at him and think I still can't believe this happened to me", Phipps said.

Phipps graciously said "yes" and soon enough, adopted the boy who she named Vaughn.
