Google is finally updating the Gmail web design

Dimension

The new feature will likely be announced alongside Gmail's redesign for the web, which is expected to take place during Google's upcoming I/O developers conference starting May 8.

After years of Google's same age-old design of the Gmail web-client, Google is finally planning to update it.

According to The Verge, Google will finally bring features such as "snooze" and "smart reply" to Gmail's web client, which have been available on Google's alternative mail client- Inbox by Gmail.

One thing shown that we weren't previously expecting is a new sidebar found on the far right.

It seems Gmail is going to be pulling a lot of ideas from Google Inbox.

Russians Killed In Syria Clash, Says Pompeo
The date for the vote confirming Mr Pompeo in the full Senate has not been set but is likely in the coming weeks. Mr Trump nominated Mr Pompeo to become the country's top diplomat on March 13 after firing Rex Tillerson .

Though not much details have been forthcoming from the company, observers link this move to the new design already unveiled in the Google Calendar app that saw new bright colors and modern icons and so on. The three options include a default view that highlights attachments, a comfortable view that does not highlight those attachments and a compact view that is nearly the same as the current Gmail design (for those who don't like change).

G Suite is Google's cloud computing arm which also manages productivity and collaboration tools, software, and products developed by Google.

'We need a bit more time to compose ourselves, so can't share anything yet-archive this for now, and we'll let you know when it's time to hit send'. While it's possible the final design may end up looking quite different, it does match a description of the new design provided to TechCrunch today. Additionally, you could also require a passcode (generated by SMS) to access an email, or have it expire on a certain date.

Google Go‚ a new app that promises "a lighter‚ faster‚ way to search" has been launched to cater especially for Africans coming online with mobile phones as their primary and sometimes only internet device. The company says the update will feature a "fresh, clean look" and give users access to several new features, like Smart Reply, the ability to snooze emails, and offline support. Like ephemeral stories, these emails will be automatically cleared as soon as they're in the inbox for a specific time period.

We didn't overlook the part where emails self-destruct in the Gmail redesign, don't worry.
