Former Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski signs with Seahawks

NFL free agent news Sebastian Janikowski Seahawks agree to deal

Sebastian Janikowski, whose booming kicks for the Raiders made him one of the NFL's most dominant kickers during the last two decades, has reportedly signed a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks.

"Former Raiders' kicker Sebastian Janikowski reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks, per source".

The 40-year-old Janikowski, who was told by the Raiders two months ago he wouldn't be returning to Oakland for his 18th season, will replace now free-agent kicker Blair Walsh in Seattle.

Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) Stock in Trouble?
Musk shared that he believes some customers may have canceled their orders because they couldn't afford to wait for the Model 3. Federal investigators are looking into last month's deadly crash in California involving a Model X operating in autopilot mode.

Janikowski was the No. 17 overall pick in the 2000 draft, and has played his entire career with the Raiders.

Janikowski took a $1 million pay cut late in training camp and made $3 million last season.

The Raiders' all-time leading scorer with 1,799 points, 11th in National Football League history, he played in a franchise-record 268 games, but did not play last season after going on injured reserve in the preseason because of a back injury. Seattle also signed former Jaguars kicker Jason Myers, the only other kicker now on their roster, in January. That includes missing all three in a 17-14 loss to the Washington Redskins, and the potential game-winner in the final minute of a 26-24 season-ending loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
