But VAR will be used for the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, extensively.

All 20 member clubs voted on the decision at a meeting today.

The announcement comes a day after UEFA confirmed they would not be fast-tracking the system in either the Champions League or the Europa League next season.

'The clubs agreed that advanced testing on the use of the video technology will continue to the end of 2018-19.

"The only experience I had was the West Brom game and it was very interesting". It's not flawless at the moment.

Lorenzo Insigne scored from the spot and afterwards England manager Gareth Southgate said: "I'm glad it's not the World Cup just yet". I really would prefer we have the right decisions, but it needs to be fixed before that.

Germany's Bundesliga will, however, continue to use VAR next season despite World Cup victor Sami Khedira, who plays for Serie A club Juventus, branding it a "disaster" during this season's trials.

"Nobody knows exactly how VAR will work".

Pep Guardiola has accused Manchester United and Chelsea of being among the clubs to block the introduction of video technology into the Premier League.
