Sri Reddy's allegations have prompted the authorities to look into the presence of evils like sexual harassment and casting couch in Tollywood. "They should display posters on the definitions, procedures, penalties and reporting mechanisms of sexual harassment in all workplaces attached to the film industry", Ms. Devi, a cultural activist, said at the media briefing. MAA announced that it would not give membership to Sri Reddy and will also banish anyone who works with her going forward.

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Thursday served notices on the Information and Broadcasting ministry and the Telangana government, calling for detailed reports on the alleged sexual exploitation of women in Telugu Film Industry. The Commission also opposed the police case and said that this appears to muzzle the voice of whistle blower both from MAA and the State authorities.
